NORRNÄS

Architects: Strom Architects

Location: Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden

Perched above the water on a dramatic coastal site in the Stockholm archipelago, NORRNÄS is a contemporary home designed by Strom Architects as a private retreat for a long-standing client. Strive CGI was commissioned to visualise the project, capturing its quiet strength, refined materiality, and the sense of belonging it holds within the landscape.

This single-storey home is gently embedded into the site’s natural contours, with every principal room oriented towards the sweeping south-west views. The fully glazed frontage invites in the sea, sky, and summer light, while a solid C-shaped rear wall anchors the house into the terrain and offers privacy for guest rooms, utility spaces, and a study.

A generous overhanging roof provides shelter from wind and sun, framing a series of calm, shaded terraces. Inside, a restrained palette of stone, clay plaster, and micro-cement is warmed by pale oak and soft furnishings, creating a serene, tactile atmosphere.

Our visualisations focused on conveying the horizontal rhythm of the architecture, its quiet integration with nature, and the soft, immersive quality of Scandinavian light. NORRNÄS is more than a holiday home—it’s a deeply personal expression of place, clarity, and contemporary living by the sea.
