Set within lush tropical forest near Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, this striking family retreat by Watershedd is designed around a central pool that anchors the home’s open-plan layout. Strive CGI was commissioned to bring the project to life through a series of warm, atmospheric visualisations that reflect the architecture’s balance of openness and privacy.

Natural timber and polished concrete form the material palette, while full-height timber shutters wrap the elevations to encourage cross-ventilation and protect from the elements. The double-height living space - with an internal mezzanine - filters soft light through upper-level shutters and connects the social spaces with the bedrooms above.

The home opens effortlessly to a series of shaded terraces and lush gardens, drawing focus inward to the pool and landscaping, while keeping the living areas private and serene.
